Great community dog park! Clean, easy access, plenty of space with shared toys and very affordable access for a year!

So it's not public. You have to register your dog first. I understand why, but it was a bummer when my dog and I stopped by and we couldn't get in. Requires a payment as well- again, I understand the park may need funds, but, like, I don't want to pay for a dog park membership when I can go somewhere else for free. Otherwise, it's an enormous area, there's water for the dogs, some toys, and an obstacle course. Benches and shade too. Grass looks well taken care of. My pup had a lot of fun.

I think all the negative reviews are from people even cheaper than myself, which I didn't think was possible. So, you have to buy a washtenaw dog license which can be done online, you then have to go down to the city offices and pay 30 bucks a YEAR and bring proof of rabies distemper and a photo of the dog. What you get in return is a well kept dog park with a porta potty, water spigot, many benches, free poop bags, agility course, separate area for puppies, and a pavillion. The only real complaint I have is that people's dogs will dig holes and they don't fill them in. Be sure to walk your ball throwing path and make sure there are no ankle breakers. You do have to download an app to unlock the door which requires location permissions but you can revoke the permission when not in use. The app has worked flawlessly for months now, but I'd rather have an RFID card or NFC feature.

Huge fenced in area with clean green grass. Also has water fountain, my dog loved it ! *edit* last time I was driving through this park is not open to public anymore :(

Worst experience. Gate is locked and only open to city insiders that have paid and followed the very extensive set of rules intended to keep the riff raff out. Public land? Dunno, but should not be listed as a dog park on google.
