City Of Gonzales Dog Park

Dog park visit. Nice size big dog area. Also there's a smaller little dog area. Water offered, poop bags offered, 7 benches, no shade. Has a nice cement walking path inside. The area inside is poop free and the grass is well maintained. We had a good time. Thank you

It is a nice little dog park, our chihuahua Chokis, loves running around in it...if only there could be a sing reminding big dog owners to take charge of their dogs that can be bullies or a bit mean to smaller dogs. Big dog won't listen to a stranger saying STOP when owner is just there staring and not saying much.

Great dog park. Has small fenced in area for small dogs as well. Water and waste disposal available. Nice paved track for walking while your dogs play. Benches all around the park. It's located directly behind Jambalaya park in Gonzales. I utilized this park while traveling for work and it's not a bad drive from Donaldsonville. Plus there is hardly ever anyone there in the mornings.

So glad Gonzales finally saw fit to have a dog park. Take my boys there on a regular and I would like to give a shout out to the parks and recs ground crew. I have watched these guys for years do an awesome job on keeping the parks I frequent clean and neat. They have their hands full with litterbugs and vandalism. And each and every one of them is always so nice. My boys love to see them and have to go see them no matter what. Thank y’all so much for all your hard work. I visited today with my 9.5 year old Siberian Husky just after a rain storm. Even though it's not the largest dog park, the grass was well kept, and the flooding/mud wasn't too bad. It has a pretty stream next to it, nice landscaping, and benches with a paved walking path which creates a peaceful environment for owners too. One of the 2 water fountains worked, and there were plenty of doggie bags.
