This park has been revamped with beauty in a place where it hasn't always been beautiful. It is a pleasure to spend time here with my daughter and she gets to have a bit of fun during this rough time we're experiencing currently. Hopefully the center can open soon with programs and opportunities to push our youth in a positive direction they really need.

Nice park that’s been improved a lot. Clean, safe, and good for kids with a playground and basketball courts. The community center brings people together and keeps the place active. Parking can be tight, but overall it’s a friendly spot to relax or join events.

So sad this park has undergone rehab and upgrades for the community and after such a long time to do so it's finally ready but they are waiting on the mayor to take photos and do a ribbon cutting you know the political part ! Centers been ready for weeks but our children can't play or enjoy facilities untill the photo opps and political crap take place smh yeah not like the children playing and being off the streets should be a priority right smh typical newstips@cbs12.com

Parks within the African American community are notorious for drug and other illegal activity. No longer. The young citizens must be reminded that It's name is synonymous with a reputable and highly respected African American family. It gives me great pride to observe the joy and happiness young children of any color are experiencing in a safe environment where they can play, hangout with their peers without feeling threatened. I actually observed a black father (Real Black Man) jogging with his son approximately 8 or so years old around the park. The winds of change are blowing it's horn and I like the sound of it's music. Community involvement, concerns of law enforcement, and the voice of our youngest citizens to " play free" has been heard. The atmosphere is relaxing with welcoming eye appeal complimented by a clean, manicured landscape.

Coleman Park is a nice park. My church has held our church picnic there a couple of times. The staff has been very helpful and friendly. Our experience would have been better if the water fountain was working. Everytime we've hosted an event there the water fountain has been broken which limited the activity for the young children. The water fountain was one of the reasons we've chosen Coleman Park to have our picnics. So we have been disappointed that we've been unable to utilize the park for what it's supposed to offer.
