It is a nice park with a swing set and some rocking horses but no other playground equipment. The pavilion has been made off limits in an effort to cut down on the homeless camping but they have just moved out to the pier. Overall the park looks well maintained. Update: Park has been rebuilt. More lay equipment for the kids but it is still the local hang out for homeless. Not much thought was put into the swing set because there is no shade and all the seats are black. (Great way to burn kids) the dog park they built is tiny. The idea of a dog park is to have a large area for dogs to run and play together but this is smaller than almost any yard even in apartment complexes. Seems a bit pointless especially when they have the room to make it a proper size. Every time I come here there’s either homeless trash on the pier and at the pavilion or homeless sleeping there. Not sure how much of an actual improvement this is. A swingset with no shade and a tiny dog park!

I have always considered this a very special quiet place. I have over the years heard many rumors that this park is haunted. I can only say that I've never encountered another living person while visiting the park

I wouldn't quite call this a dog park. It's a small fenced in area for your dog sniff around and take a poop. Waste of a trip. More suited towards a family bringing their kids to play on the playground equipment and just need to bring the dog with them and have a place to contain them while their kids play. Other than that you're better off just walking your dog around the neighborhood. Beautiful view of the Halifax nonetheless.
