Colonel Francis J. Beatty Park is a beautiful, scenic, and serene place to visit. The large lake with ducks, herons, peaceful walking trails, picnic spots with shelters and restrooms, and the wide range of activities make it perfect for families and visitors of all ages. You’ll find soccer fields, tennis courts, basketball and volleyball areas, biking paths, and several kids playgrounds, so there is truly something for everyone. The trails were a little hard to find at first but once you’re on them, the walk is relaxing and full of nature’s beauty. A wonderful spot for a day outdoors.

NYC has Central Park but wow this park is just as beautiful. Good walking trails, biking, plenty of bathrooms that are super clean I was so surprised... we found the Fairy Garden 🏡🏡 how beautiful. We walked around the lake, took stunning pictures, saw a weird looking spider 🕷️, beautiful trees...if I lived in NC I would definitely do my renewal wedding there..

This park is fantastic for hiking, biking, and plenty of family activities. There’s a playground for the little ones and fields for soccer, tennis, basketball, and volleyball. The lake view is amazing, and it’s also a beautiful spot for wedding photos. A perfect place for both relaxation and fun.

Me and my son participated in a summer camp program that had one of its days booked here! We had an absolutely incredible experience. We got to geocache in the woods and found a really interesting spot with a fairy home! We also got to canoe on the lake and it was super relaxing and fun and we got to see nesting ducks and even a mama and baby blue heron!! We did also happen to find some delicious blackberries growing :) My son was amazed at everything we saw and I absolutely loved the beauty of everything we experienced! We can’t wait to come back and explore more of the trails :)
