PLEASE NO DOGS!!! Beautiful park. Feels more secluded than it actually is. Perfect for kids and older folks. Gorgeous views toward Sherwood and the Chehalem Mountains. Unique terrain with mix of wooded areas and oak groves. Kinda reminds me of the Bend area in Central Oregon. Trails are gradual but, not too steep and since there’s only one parking lot, all the trails have loops and are interconnected with each other.

Took our 3.5 year old and it was a great walk. Wide gravel trail and optional short medium or long loops. A few scenic views some shaded areas and open areas to walk through. The playground was a bonus, definitely coming back. It was beautiful and spacious. And the nature, wow.

We had a nice time—though a bit epic for our out-of-shape, middle-aged bodies—on the Cooper Mountain Trail part of the walk today. We saw a doe today, a female deer, along the tree line. We greeted and were greeted as we passed several people and couples, and had a nice time getting our 350+ change of elevation 2+ mile hike (per Google Fit and Fitbit). The trail had small ditches along the side, to keep water off the graveled surfaces I presume. Very nice. There is some maintenance going on and the area is not pristine, but it is very nice, in the opinion of my wife I. We recommend taking a look. Also, there are other trails we haven't seen that looked a little less epic. I can't really speak to that, but if you pull up your Google Maps, you can zoom in and trace around on them.

Great trails, well maintained with lots of nice viewpoints. Mostly gravel paths which was great and made it easy to avoid mud.

Cooper Mountain Nature Park is a great spot for getting outdoors and enjoying some fresh air. The trails are well-maintained, and we love that there are three different routes to choose from: Little Prairie Loop, Cooper Mountain Loop, and Larkspur Loop. We took about an hour and a half to complete a 3.5-mile hike with the kids, starting from the parking lot, exploring the Little Prairie Loop, and doing a full circle around the Cooper Mountain Loop. We avoided Blacktail Way since it takes a bit longer to get back to the parking lot, but it’s great to have options for all hiking preferences. One of the best features is the trail maps along the way—super helpful and makes it hard to get lost. It’s always a joy to step outside and enjoy nature here. There is a small playground kids can also enjoy next to the parking lot. Highly recommend!
