I came here because of the statue of the Wright brothers. After visiting two museums and learning about their remarkable story, I felt inspired to complete the journey by coming here as well. Visiting in the winter, however, gives the place a very different atmosphere. The ground is still covered in snow, and there isn’t much activity around. I imagine that in the summer it would be much more vibrant — with fountains running, children playing in the water, and people out exercising. But now, in the quiet of winter, it feels peaceful and almost solitary. There’s no one else here — just me, standing alone with the memorial and my thoughts.
This was such a well kept little area to visit. They had little swings you could sit on. Very minimal people. Nice quiet area. It would be a great asset for a water bottle filling station!
A gem of a park overlooking Dayton, Ohio. Beautiful views, bench swings, a "water fountain" show at sunset.
Deeds Point MetroPark is a beautiful and peaceful spot right in the heart of Dayton. The park offers some of the best city views, especially with the skyline and river in the background — perfect for photos, walking, or just relaxing for a bit. The trails are clean and easy to navigate, and the entire area feels open, safe, and well-maintained. It’s a great place to unwind, enjoy nature, and take in the scenery without driving far. Whether you’re out for a quick walk or spending a quiet afternoon outdoors, this park is definitely worth visiting. I’ll be coming back for sure.
Deeds Point Metro Park is located at the confluence of Mad River and the Great Miami River. There are quite a few walking/biking trails that begin at the park. There is also a pedestrian bridge that goes over Mad River. The park has scenic views of the river and the Dayton Skyline.
