First, if you served in any of the armed services, Thank You'. This is a great little park with lots of information on each of the wars the U.S. has participated in. There are several benches and picnic tables around the pond where you can sit and reflect on whatever your heart desires. Since my dad was in the Army during the Korean War, I took time to reflect on how different life could have been. He was in Germany training when the cease fire was signed. Had he gone on to see combat, could he have been one that never returned?
That Park used to be so nice they don't keep it up the lake nothing but mud if there's no mud ducks flock to the water lots of ducks and geese 🦆 too much poop they don't keep the poop cleaned up off the sidewalk it's the duck Park instead of the People's Park I don't understand why people are so nice just tell the truth all over the sidewalk you can't walk down it
This was a great educational journey, especially for me as a veteran. The boys learned so much history. Need more time can't wait to go again!
I visit this park from time to time when I come and visit my daughter. It has deteriorated over the past couple years. It appears no one is maintaining it. Wood benches are falling apart. Someone has placed small US flags by each of the branches but do not check on them. I go with my daughter when she walks he dogs and because the sticks are so small, most are knocked over. Construction next door has ruined the pond. It looks like chocolate milk.
Well presented, maintained and managed. I try to visit on November 10th.
