The park is nicely shaded, making it a comfortable spot to relax. There's a playground suitable for both little and big kids, which is great for families. The pond in the middle is a lovely place for a picnic and enjoying nature. However, please be cautious and watch your kids closely, especially since the surrounding roads are busy. There’s no designated parking lot…just street parking, which can be a hassle. Unfortunately, there are no portable toilets or bathrooms available.
Nice park with a circular walking trail. The downside is that there is only street parking. There are 2 small play areas and a basketball court. You can also bbq, as there are 2 pavilions with picnic tables. The pond is ok to fish in, too.
We were just looking for a place where the kids could play while in the area. What a beautiful find. Lots of trees, 2 play grounds, picnic areas and walking paths.
Had fun walking with my dog Susie, left the phone in the truck unfortunately, no pics. Next time we’ll take lots of pics. Then we went on to the dog park in Western Branch park off Taylor Rd Portsmouth/Chesapeake
Not what is portrayed in pictures. A nice park but no pirate ship or water area.
