A great free park with a playground for kids. My children absolutely love it and never want to leave — they can play here for hours. For adults, it’s just as enjoyable: beautiful views of the water, a pond with boats, and plenty to look at. I especially love taking photos here, including the train and the surrounding scenery. Highly recommend for families.

This park is an absolute must-visit if you have children! 🤩 We've been coming here for 40 years! I'm going to dig up some old pictures of the playground and share them soon. It'll be a blast going through those old paper photographs. 📸 The rides here are far from your standard swingset and slides. There's even a merry-go-round at the top of the hill with another merry-go-round on top! I'll definitely post pictures of that. The park has such an upbeat vibe with a beautiful ocean view. 🌊 Don't miss the chance to visit this happy, wholesome family venue! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 #Children #Park #Visit #Years #Pictures #Playground #Photographs #Rides #Swingset #Slides #Merrygoround #Hill #Ocean #View #Chance #Venue #Family

I think this is the same exact Park as the Dennis the Menace one, regardless this whole Park complex is such a great place for young kids to have fun

This dog park at El Estero Lake is convenient and pretty well maintained. It’s not very big but they made good use of the space they had. When I lived in Monterey, I went often because it was a place where I could let the dogs off the leash. Now that I live in Salinas, it’s a great pitstop when we’re running errands on the Peninsula. I hardly run into people there anymore so more often than not were the only ones there and it feels safe. Sometimes the parking is being used by the people at Dennis the Menace park but usually you can find a parking place. I’ve never had an issue with another dog there though there was one dog owner that was so mean to his dog and left his dog on the leash while in the dog park. I had to leave because I felt he might be nicer to his dog if he didn’t have an audience. Now that I write this, I should’ve at least said something before I left not that it would’ve done any good, but I should’ve told him he was a really bad dog parent.

Amazing and unique park for all kids ages. Beautiful park with a lot of different structures in the playground area. Parking is small and very limited.
