I’ve been living at Elan Polo Gardens since early 2024, and overall my experience has been very positive. Of course, like anywhere, I’ve had a few unpleasant encounters—mostly involving a few individuals, some of whom I’m not even sure are residents—and I’ll share a bit about those situations with my dog as well.
That said, I want to share my overall experience and opinion of Elan Polo Gardens. The community is beautiful, inside and out. One of my favorite features is the dog park—it’s well designed, large and now requires a security code, which I really appreciate. At the beginning, there were outsiders bringing their dogs in, so I’m glad management made it residents-only.
The landscaping is another standout. It was one of the things that first caught my attention when I was apartment hunting, and it’s great to see that they continue to invest in improvements, replacements, and maintenance. The apartments themselves are modern looking and have nice walls and high ceilings. The amenities are very nice too.
Management has been very responsive and dedicated. I’ve personally worked with Megan, the Property Manager, and I truly have nothing negative to say. She has handled every concern I’ve brought up with professionalism, positivity, and a genuine focus on finding solutions. As a resident, it’s reassuring to have someone like her running the community.
Another thing I really like is that the management team schedules maintenance inspections several times throughout the year, including checking the AC units and changing the AC filters. They’ve also conducted other inspections, such as fire alarm checks, which makes it feel like things are truly under control and that safety is taken seriously. In addition, they pressure wash all the individual building entrances, which keeps the community looking fresh and well cared for. Pest control is also very on top of their game, which is something I truly appreciate.
Of course, no place is perfect. Occasionally, there are residents who don’t pick up after their dogs, or people who don’t realize that the smell of weed is noticeable. However, management is always on top of these issues and consistently communicates community rules, which honestly has worked very well.
This is a dog-friendly community, and while most people are understanding, I’ve had a few uncomfortable moments with individuals who seemed very afraid or exaggerated reactive when my dog approached them, even though she was on a leash and I always pull her back to respect their space. Putting that aside, I feel good living here.
Overall, there’s always room for improvement, but what really stands out is that management listens, responds, and actively works to improve the community when issues are brought up. That effort makes a big difference.

No car wash on-site.
The club house closes when office closes.

I’ve had an excellent experience living at Elan Polo Gardens. I’ve had all my questions and concerns answered and taken care of extremely quickly by Antonio. You couldn’t ask for better staff, who has been responsive and professional from the very first interaction. The maintenance team is polite and helpful. My neighbors are all friendly. The community is peaceful and the amenities are lovely. The community events from back-to-school to yoga and breakfast have been exceptional! I enjoy relaxing at the luxurious pool area and exercising in the well-equipped fitness center! I recommend living at Elan Polo Gardens and definitely suggest to ask for Antonio!

The apartment complex did not live up the expectations I had before moving in late last year nor what I was told by a staff member. The apartment is really nice. The staff is nice including maintenance and pest control. Maintenance completes work orders in a timely manner. Nice and safe area. The turnpike is nearby. The lake is nice to walk by. I suggest not to walk by the lake at night because that’s when various creatures come out (frogs, snakes, etc).
The walls are thin. I can hear everything going on by my upstairs neighbors and next door neighbors. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment. I could be on the other side of the apartment and still can hear the neighbors. The paint on the walls can easily get dirty. I literally scratched the wall with my freshly washed hands and it created a mark on the wall (my finger did that… very crazy). The kitchen counters easily stains and it is hard to remove the stains. The bathroom in the gym is always locked after the office hours. The gate has been unlocked for many weeks. I was told that the gate will be fixed but with the amount of money the apartment complex receives from rent alone on a monthly basis, I would assume that the gate would be fixed in a timely manner. During the summer, there was an increase of insects. Pest control visited my apartment many times. I have encountered dog poop on the side walk many times. There are lack of cameras. The cameras are located at the gates only. Before I moved in, I was told that there will be an increase of security measures by a staff member such as more cameras but unfortunately that didn’t happen (I obtained confirmation from a staff member). Cameras inside the buildings hallways would be nice.
Honestly, the apartment is not worth the money. If you’re interested in the aesthetics of the apartment…proceed with the application but it’s not worth the reality. I will not be renewing my lease.
