We were looking forward to seeing the Northern Terminus of the D&R Canal. What a disappointment! Boyd park, Riverside Bark and Elmer B Boyd park...all of it is trashed! Garbage is everywhere, people are doing drugs and drinking, and other things, even the Rutgers boat house and area around it is not clean. The paths aren't well maintained. It was a huge disappointment and we won't be coming back. You know it's bad when the various play grounds have no kids on a beautiful day near neighborhoods. And yet Johnson park, across the river, is well maintained and there are at quite a few people enjoying the grounds and walk ways.
Peaceful in the morning. Beautiful wild flowers, caterpillars and ladybugs. Access to the water for fishing and boating. In the evenings, usually gets crowded.

I love this park for jogging. The place is very peaceful, a very relaxed atmosphere for a family stroll. Plus, it has beautiful views of the river! 🤟💯💪😊🤩
