Encanto Park

While visiting Camarillo, I've made an effort to play with my grandchildren at the many family parks. The management of the city parks is impressive! Clean and well maintained grounds at each park. Dogs have been present at some of these parks, however, the owners I've run into have been most respectful and even asked if I was okay with their dog being off leash. I am happy that these pet owners care about community.

Unfortunately, more and more people are bringing large dogs off leash. Family Parks like these have small children and toddlers. They also have small dogs and puppies on leashes learning how to play at the park... Leash on Parks like this are designed this way for families to feel safe small dogs on leash or large dogs on leash that need to be on a leash can go there to play and be safe.... Not a place for large dogs off leash.

-There needs to be more signage notifying people that this is NOT an off leash dog park. -I love this park, it’s beautiful, but there are many off leash dogs and many do not fully listen to their owners. I have had multiple off leash dogs run up to my leashed dog and disobey their owner’s commands. I’ve even had one attack my dog and I at this park.

Small park in great neighborhood. One playground with sand and swings. Good for ages 2+. Lots of grass for running and even playing sports. No restrooms which is a bummer

Very nice. Its close to home and if I get there Mid day there is no one there. So my dog can run free, without other dogs or kids playing on the equipment.
