Great park for dogs. You can see the whole park despite its size which is nice. You do need to keep an eye out because not every dog that comes to the park has the right temperament for the dog park but incidents are rare and quickly resolved. Make sure to bring a jug of water as there is no public water source.

For the last three years, the Estabrook dog park has been the playground for my dog and a great spot to socialize. Both she and I have made a few close friends. Almost all of the owners are kind, respectful, and manage their dogs well. There are always a few, but there is a great group of owners who watch out for each other and care enough to make the park a special place for everyone.

Great place! There’s a small/old dog section and a big/energetic dog section. There are benches and water bowls. Usually there are like 15+ dogs when we visit, which our dog loves!

Ok so these are my experiences, even if it’s not the majority. I’m not sure if people with little dogs rarely go to this dog park, they very well might not, but every time I went with my little dog there were no other people there with theirs. So it was kind of boring, not exactly the dog park’s fault…perhaps. The areas themselves are randomly scattered with woodchips, it looks in disarray in my opinion. Like they were randomly dumped. That’s not a big deal I guess but it just adds to the build up of me not loving it here. My uncle was attacked by two cane corsos here who were not fixed and running off the leash outside the dog park areas. The police never found the guy who brought them and ran away with them after the attack. Also, when my dog was in the dog area, trash was scattered throughout and he stepped in gum, which was a chore to get out. I don’t know if it’s the people who frequent here that ruined this park for me, or the reputation of the park itself, or what- but I won’t be going back after giving it multiple tries. I’d rather just drive out to Waukesha. After talking to other friends with dogs and posting my experience on social media, it seems I’m not the only one who has decided never to go back.

First off we go to dog parks all over the country, and have been to some very nice ones. This one does the job but not very well. Apparently you have to have a permit or something which is very uncommon. We’ve been to extremely nice dog parks and not so nice dog parks but never had to pay anywhere. Also considering weeds were grown up, trash was very full of dog poo bags, and all that I definitely wouldn’t pay to go here anyway. We just decided to hike along the river instead, which was very nice. From an outside perspective this place needs a lot of TLC. Some of the locals said it was ok though.
