Each year is different. The ride through, enchanting. 89.1 on your radio, keeps the mood on high, as you slowly ride through with your headlights off. The children will not only love the displays, but just the lights alone, will delight them! Bring some hot chocolate in safe, drinking cups, and it is sure to feel like a, Winter Wonderland Story.
The light display was fantastic. My whole family loved it.
Beautiful trails through the park! Only walked about 3/4 of Mike and there were many left yet but my kids were too excited to go to the splash pad they got sick of walking faster than normal. I especially loved the little waterfalls and views. Good place to take the family for a picnic or a walk. Bugs weren't even bad. We will come back to finish the trails
Making spirits Bright best lights every year
Disc golf review: This is a fun course to play if you are in the area. I wouldn't drive as far as I do to play here if Volrath wasn't eight minutes down the road though. The signage is very nice and straight forward with directions to the next tee. It is hard to get lost. The concrete tee pads are in good shape however there are only concrete pro pads for about 1/3 of the holes (the remaining are poorly marked). I don't care for most pro pads so this was not issue for me. The start of your round will be out in the open with little or no obstacles which is fine for some players but I prefer technical shots and less grip it and rip it. Technical shots began at hole 5 if you don't include 1A and 1B (yes, this has 20 pins). Hole 5 is awesome with an elevated view over the basket and several trees in your way. From there the course leads downhill into a swampy valley which does get very wet after heavy rains. The holes also get much shorter for the most part but technicality makes up for what they lack in distance. The pars for these hole are too generous when using the UDisc app and I suggest playing everything as a three. Watch out for discs when teeing off as the tees pads and baskets are right on top of each other. The backdrop for this course is nice and relaxing. There is something about being in the woods and the feeling of being out in the middle of nowhere. There is a river that runs by a few holes but you would have to be way off your mark to land in it. There were hikers from time to time that had to be waited on to pass before throwing but it wasn't too bad for a nice Saturday afternoon. It was early spring when the pictures were taken. In late spring or early summer, the grass gets much taller making this course slightly more challenging to finding your disc. As I mentioned earlier, don't drive out of your way to play just this course unless you plan to play two-three rounds. It took slightly less than 60 minutes for two people to play a single round with no one in front of us. If I could, I'd have given this course 3.5 stars.
