Quiet park in a loud area-- .1 miles from industrial rail, passanger rail, and multilane highway.

No flamingos but this is a cute park along the railroad tracks and set next to I-95. Open every day from 6 AM until 9 PM like other Ft. Lauderdale parks, this park actually takes its name from the Flamingo Park neighborhood it is situated in. Flamingo Park is an older neighborhood in Ft. Lauderdale comprised of single family homes built in the 40's through the 60's. This 2.17 acre park has a large open play space, playground. picnic tables, and grills, There was even some passive exercise equipment. There are many beautiful large trees in the park offering shade. While I was visiting the park the CSX train came by. They are a leading provider of freight rail transportation. Other than the train, the park was completely empty. Come here to exercise, take the kids to play, or have a picnic. Unless you live in the neighborhood you can pass this one over for one for one of the larger Ft. Lauderdale parks.

Nice piece of grass for a lunch break. It's not quiet because it's right to the highway
