A peaceful and quiet park, perfect for families looking to enjoy a day playing or hiking together! The trails wind through the neighborhood and the surrounding wilderness, offering wide gravel paths and wooden steps. You might encounter other hikers and bicyclists on these trails. It's a perfect hiking spot in San Marcos for families with active children aged 5 and older. Parking is limited to the street parking.

Foothills Park is a beautiful quaint neighborhood park. There wasn’t a soul here the morning we went but I can imagine little ones riding bikes and scooters on the paved sidewalk around the perimeter of the park. There are multiple hiking and walking trails that stem from this park. My son and I went for a jog with our BOB stroller on the trail behind the houses along Via Barquero over to Santa Fe Hills Park (1 mile each way). There are some wood barriers that act as speed bumps at the beginning of the trail but only last as long as the short hill then the rest of the trail is smooth graded dirt. 🚙Free parking on the street 💰This park is free 🎠The play structure has a mulch ground surface. There are no swings at this park. 🚽No restrooms 🧺A few picnic tables 🪑Park benches at playground 🖼Lawn 🌳Few shady trees 🌟Clean grounds 🐶Dog waste stations along the trail. Please pick up after your dog! I noticed a lot of people didn’t pick up after their pet...super obnoxious. I almost rolled the stroller through pet waste multiple times. 🛣Far from busy roads 🏘Tucked into a quiet beautiful neighborhood 🥾Multiple dirt hiking trails nearby 🚲Small paved path around the park perfect for small bikes, scooters, roller blades

Great park with Access to trails. Don't forget to grab a free map at the trailhead and enjoy the great outdoors. Dog friendly and.great for kids can go from the park to the trails.

They just finished "updating" the playground equipment. It's lame. No other word for it. There's a huge grass area the kids can run around in, and some benches and tables. But the new play stuff is just so disappointing. One rope jungle and a one person spinner. That's basically it. The old structure was FAR superior.

Nice small park nested in Santa Fe Hills neighborhood in San Marcos. Have playground and few tables.
