Still only two operational docks as of March '26, so 4 loads/unloads at a time max. If you can wet launch without needing a dock or are very patient, it's a great option since there's plenty of parking as of now. The missing docks don't break up the current or winds, so be ready with bumpers and/or extra hands to help tie up safely.

Always very clean! They still fixing some ramps after the hurricane damaged but Ford de soto is one of the best places for jetski or boats.

Only 1 spot to rinse your boat off. Parking $6.50 for 24 hours. Plenty of boat slips. Always nice and clean! FWC presence very likely! Very tight exit road only about 9 foot wide. Solid ramp very close to a nice sandbar hangout area.

Very interesting! Must visit if you enjoy history, particularly war history! The Fort was built with organization in mind.. it awaits you here at Fort De Soto, declared a national historical landmark in 1977 and recently as a local historical landmark by Pinellas County in 2014. This peninsula is a treasure to the history of our nation. It was so intriguing to learn (quite mind boggling too) the ingenious men who defended our country! They engineered and manufactured weapons, built housing, created food sources, and produced massive mortars containing incredible force and magnitude, we could strike targets up to 6 miles away! The Fort shows the unique approach men used while defending our nation! The walkway built (above the Fort) has many steps leading to the rooftop, providing spectacular beach and ocean views.

Fantastic boat ramp, loads of parking with overflow for the busy weekends. Restrooms on site and there is two hose hookups to wash your boat down at the ramp on the way out, but there is usually a line for them. Right on bunches pass so it’s easy to get to egmont or into the bay.
