This place was a beautiful surprise for me. I needed time alone in nature. Only been on this area a short time. Googled looking for a place to swim in clean H2O. It's just south of Knoxville. I zigzagged thru an older neighborhood and there it was. No parking fee. Great docks for jumping off or just sitting in the sun. Huge dock out in the center. Water was crystal clear with a bluish-green color. You can rent paddle boards and rafts. Very unique bathrooms structures with tall pointed open cone on top. Grated Metal at the bottom with huge tall Metal walls. They are very hot on exterior side but it was cool on the inside. Guess with breeze coming in the bottom and heat always rising & exiting out the top, it stays nice inside. I thought the way they were built was very cool!! Think I can add photos.

Absolutely fabulous and a must do!! The city has made stunning improvements with floating docks, free life jackets and paddle board rentals. Bring a good lunch, you will get hungry and they don't sell anything but chips and drinks! Gorgeous, clear water that leaves you skin feeling AMAZING 😍.

Traveling with teens and the park and quarry were a great stop on a nice day for a little hiking and swimming. Black Pit Viper trail was actually fairly easy for us and had great views of the quarry. It was a little chilly, but that didn't stop our crew from swimming. Clean restrooms and dressing room for changes in/out of swim clothes. Parking lot is close to trails and swimming, if needing to go back and forth to the car.

Clean and orderly! I love that they have free life jackets available, too! It's such a a great way to encourage a safe time. Family friendly, with restrooms and a little snack bar. Finding a spot to park can be a bit iffy, but that's just the nature of being close to nature. And parking is free, too :) We made a quick stop here during a road trip to stretch our legs and eat some lunch. It was well worth it

Great swimming/paddling spot! Clear, clean water, friendly park attendants, and a great overall vibe. They have independently floating docks on the water for anyone looking for a little privacy and space. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good time on a hot day!
