Know before you come..... Bathrooms are closed seasonally. Some of the roads and parking lots are closed with concrete k rails. There are several dog waste bag stations and tons of trash cans, please use them!! Clean and well maintained park.

I walk this peaceful area with my pup Herbie at least once a week as it's close to home & leaves us feeling invigorated.

This park was beautiful.. great open space to walk, and see the old Fort. The little flower garden was peaceful and full of flowers. The old fire lookout tower was cool to see. Loved it!

I have driven by fort Owen a thousand times.finely had time to visit the fort. The most interesting, historic place I have visted for a long time. And a big thanks to the people who saved and reconstructed it. You do not need to go Europe for history ,there is plenty in our own back yard. "A must see".

This is an absolutely fantastic community space with a huge amount of land for all activities outdoors, but there are a few downsides… there’s no shade because the trees are too small (in 2025), though there’s plenty of room to bring your own shade to the games. I really appreciate the body-weight exercise machines, but they aren’t very good. For example, the resistance for the chest press and lat machines start at the end of their range. The chin-up bar is the best “machine” there, and there’s no dip bar. The “leg press” is okay, but be ready to do lots of sets of 25-50 reps. All in all, I’m very impressed with all of the community spaces in Missoula and wish other cities would follow suit.
