Freedom Lake Park has a great playground for climbers!! 🐒 It is 33 acres and has a lot to offer: ☑️ Bathrooms (not close to playground) ✅ Water fountain ✅ Picnic shelter with tables ✅ Free parking ✅ Walking trail around the lake ✅ Dog park ✅ Bocce ✅ Fishing permitted ✅ Model boats permitted ✅ Military/Veterans Display ✈️ 🌺 Just before passing the main entry gate, one will pass the community garden box area offering 51 raised planter boxes available to rent. Access is limited to active renters.  Check online for availability. 🚫 Not fenced-in 🚫 Minimal shade “Memorial Area The memorial area features a 110’ high flagpole that was dedicated on July 4, 1990.  The monument reads “Dedicated To The Men And Women of The United States Who Have Given Their Best To Protect our Freedom And The Flag For Which It Stands”.  Its granite base includes a gold leaf dedication plaque for each branch of our nation's armed forces.  A US Airforce F-16 fighter Jet was installed in January 1997, and an additional Submarine Centennial Monument was commemorated in April 2001 to honor the many sailors who served aboard U.S. submarines. The groundbreaking for the Korean War Monument took place on June 25, 2002, 49 years after the Korean War started. Over the years, many Memorial Trees have been added to the park for loved ones of residents who have passed on.“

My grandson and I enjoyed the two playgrounds, the lake and the pond. The play ground is mostly tree shaded with some unique climbing and sliding elements. What a surprise to find a real plane as a memorial. The park includes a Korean War Memorial. Several covered pavilions offer opportunities for picnics. Please observe signs to not feed the animals like squirrels, birds, and storks. Great park with van accessible free parking and accessible restrooms Dog park

Another beautiful Pinellas County park! Right off main road sits a lovely lake with walking trail, covered shelter bench area and a really nice playground. Nice place to take the dog for a stroll.

5 Stars – Fantastic Playground! This playground is absolutely amazing! It’s clean, safe, and incredibly well-designed for kids of all ages. My children love coming here — there’s so much to do, from climbing structures to slides to imaginative play areas. The equipment is in great condition, and you can tell everything is well maintained. I also appreciate how open and welcoming the space feels. There are plenty of shady areas, comfortable seating for parents, and lots of room for kids to run and explore. It’s the kind of place where you can relax while your children have the best time. We’ve visited many playgrounds over the years, and this one is definitely one of our favorites. Highly recommend to any family looking for a fun, safe, and enjoyable place for kids to play!

There are plenty of parking spaces, clean, well maintained walking trails, playgrounds, fitness areas, dog parks and a cool fighter jet to check out. This park was awesome for my littles who love to climb w/ a 1-4 and ages 5-12 areas. There’s lots of natural and covered shade, will definitely stop by again.
