Great live music venue. Stadium style grass terraces allow seating on the ground or in chairs. A real dance floor on the lawn! The sun sets to one side, so no glare during early evening shows. Nice views of the Mohawk River behind the stage. If you get there early you can watch the water ski team. Parking next door at the drive-in restaurant or down the street at the ballfield parking. Bathrooms are in a trailer on site. Hit "like" if this review is helpful. Update 6/22/22: Do not park next door unless you are eating next door. They are protective of preserving parking for customers. Trailer bathrooms are very spacious and clean. Bring a ground cover for sitting on the terraces if not bringing a chair. Sometimes there are ants.
Very peaceful! Needed a quiet spot to read and picnic! Perfect on the water, plenty of grass to spread out a blanket and a picnic table too!
Went to see the band Triffid. They are a local band that reunited for a show there. Jumping Jack's is right next door for food and ice cream. It's a nice outdoor theater.
This is a fun outdoor local concert area in the summertime. A lot of local bands play here, everything from Jazz to children's music to dance music etc. The risers are nothing more than grass and wood so it's always advisable to bring your own chair. There is a dance in front of the stage. The venue is situated right on the Mohawk River. They also put on the fantastic firework display the Friday before the 4th of July. Freedom Park is also situated right next door to Jumpin Jack's Drive-In which I will review in another spot. The concert schedule comes out in the spring and the concerts start at the end of June and continue through the end of August. Is definitely a family-friendly place and is a lot of fun.
Great spot! People visiting here are encouraged not to park at the food establishment very near Freedom Park. If people are visiting the park, they won't know where else to park, locals do. Across the roadway from the park is Collins Park. If you drive past Freedom Park slightly there an entrance to Collins Park. Park there. You now must make a slight walk to Freedom Park. Signage for this parking is sparse.
