This is my favorite place in the area to bring my dogs for trail walks. It has clear walking paths and is very well maintained. I enjoy the fact that they have so many different trails. They have a few quick paths for when your short on time, or you can walk the 3 mile dam trail.
I love this Taunton wildlife park, and so does Annie my pup! 🐾 I do wish people were more responsible about picking up their dogs poop! 💩 It has been particularly bad through this winter, and there are free bags right by the parking lot!
Cutest park ever! If I was a dog,I would want to go for a walk here everyday although I really love the park as human too 😅 Cute things all over the park that will warm up your heart. Free parking and a seating area for warmer days.
I hike here everyday. Hike is 3 miles long. If you make it to the end their is an amazing surprise waiting. It is breathe taking. And their is a pine trail. It has a beautiful scenery. And alot of wildlife. And you can bring your own canoe in the river. Perfect place to take your family.
The area is beautiful. There are some nice scenic views of the river. In the spring Swans nest along the banks. We stood 20 feet away from a nest just walking down the main trail. There is a fragrance garden when you walk in. It seems to have been erected by a local scout troop some time ago. There are a couple main trails with some small offshoots. Plenty to see for a morning hike or family walk. Main trails are well maintained but you will find some poison ivy around one or two of the offshoots. The entrance has fields where people can bird watch. Many beautiful birds can be seen here. The only cons are that some of the trails are closed off due to some dangerous conditions. Trees that sit on a slope abutting the river are in need of removal. Trails run through here which are closed but have some very interesting scenery that draws people out to them. People, whom by the way, I have found to be polite, pleasant and kind. This goes a long way towards providing a pleasant experience. All in all a nice place to visit for exercise, a casual walk, fishing, birdwatching, relaxing and more.
When Google exported structured hours, they’re surfaced here instead of being buried in the raw payload.
