Friendship (Smith-Murphy) Park

**Location:** Friendship Park is conveniently located in front of Gordon H. Beatty Middle School in Buena Park, CA. **Pros:** The park features well-maintained walkways, making it stroller-friendly and accessible for families. There’s a large gazebo with four benches, perfect for enjoying a picnic or simply relaxing. Additionally, the park is lively with chatty squirrels that add a charming touch to the atmosphere. **Cons:** Unfortunately, the park is in need of significant improvement. The playground has large gaping holes, posing a safety hazard for children. The barbecue pits are in disrepair, rusty, and disintegrating, which detracts from their usability. Furthermore, the trash cans were overflowing with garbage, and the benches were quite dirty. The restrooms were particularly concerning; they reeked of urine and had homeless individuals using the facilities for shelter and hygiene, which is disheartening. **Overall:** While Friendship Park has some appealing features, it is desperately in need of maintenance and cleanliness. With some attention and care, it could become a much more enjoyable space for the community.

I had a wonderful time at the Park with my little one and my family. The park is located in the heart of the city and has a lot of green space and trails for walking, jogging, or biking. There are also playgrounds, picnic areas. The park is very well-maintained and clean.

This park is no longer goes as Smith-Murphy. They have changed the name andthe new name is FRIENDSHIP PARK. City has also renovated the public restrooms. There are another 2 mobile lavotaries with all the amenties have placed near the parking lot. Equipped with a good size children play area as well. Huge play ground with turf wicket for leather ball cricket. Out field is not that firm or neat. But reasonably maintained. Recommended
