Butterfly Park right across the street from Meadowlark Golf course, many flowers that attract Butterflies and a beautiful tile floor at the entrance that pictures The Butterfly life cycle. There is a path to walk on and is accessible by wheelchair. You can have a pic-nic as there are tables here, many trees for shade and you can bring your dogs to enjoy a run here there are water bowls and water for dogs too. One side of the park offers a playground for children. No restrooms here but bags are provided for dogs. Dogs are friendly here and trained.

We visited Gibbs Park recently. What a beautiful park. Very well maintained by all the volunteers. The tall pine tree surrounded by a fence with a variety of plants inside was a sight to behold. The number of eucalyptus trees is sure to bring lots of butterflies! It also keeps the park nice and cool. On our last visit, we passed the tree and entered a different section of the park. On one side, and higher ground, was a playground for children. On the other was an expanse of grass and some scattered trees. At the end, was what looked like a drainage area. Yes, the area is for excess water to prevent flooding. Right now, it’s a great area to run your dog! The butterfly area is better.

A tranquil, peaceful park. In the darkest time of winter it was clean, and inviting. A perfectly lovely haven for Monarch butterflies and the community.

Great park, it might looks like a memorial park but it’s not. Pet friendly.

This peaceful place thankfully exists in the middle of mostly shapeless suburbs, of which I reside. It is a remarkable monument to the retention of some sense of the beauty of nature, hidden in the middle of a more recently developed part of Huntington Beach. Highly recommended, and very dog friendly.
