Gisler Park is absolutely huge! Its a gorgeous, 11.67-acres, well maintained, park settled between neighborhoods. There is some parking at either end of the park, an older playground and surrounded by an all grassy area. 🚻🚫 No Restrooms 🐕 This park is ideal to bring your dogs to 🧺 Scattered Benches for picnics or sitting. 🏞 Most of the park is a HUGE Grass areas 🚗 Parking on the street at either end 💧🚫 No Water Fountain 🗑 Trash bins No designated location but plenty of space to play ⚾️ Baseball or ⚽️ Soccer The playground area is mostly sand, but the landings are the rubber matting. It contains 2 playground units that are definitely an older design. and a small swingset with 2 full sized swings. One of the playground structures is intended for ages 2-5 and another for 5-12 years old. Both structures offer slides and stairs to run along with the larger unit, having some more climbing options added. Overall, this is a great park to spend the day at and plan for a picnic but nothing to write home about. I do recommend bringing your dog here to get a big run, but remember to clean up after them because small kids do play here.

Loved this park. Plenty of parking and a ton of open space and green grass. A lot of people bring their dogs on walks there as well. There is a sidewalk that goes around the area that is very wide as well. Overall a terrific park.

This WAS a great place for walks, jogs, picnics and ultimate frisbee, but it is mostly inaccessible now (September 1, 2023). Lannar Homes has taken over the middle third of the park and fenced it off. They are also using the city parking lot off Strathmoor for construction storage, so you have to get creative if you’re parking a car. They are supposed to be “improving” the park, but in reality they are building a 16’ wide concrete service road in place of the 10’ walking path for SCE. I’m just looking forward to being able to walk the length of the park in a year or so when they are done and they remove the wooden fences.
