Fantastic open east facing location. Went for moon rise, but could enjoy many stargazing opportunities. Will check out a meteor shower another time

Great archery range. One of my favorites to go to. Lots of shades and flat land. They also have a RC plane field.

Quiet and so open! If you don't mind dodging sheep pellets the walking trails are great. Covered picnic area over looking the dog park and trails. Port-a-potty bathroom at parking area. There's a dog park. I mean it's a massively HUGE dog park. 10/10 will come again.

Awesome little gem on the outskirts of Davis. They archery lanes to hone your skills and there's a free camp (archery training) every weekend until it gets too cold. I think it starts at 10am (?) There's no sign up, no fee, you can use your own equipment or, they'll let you use theirs, for free. It's a park with pseudo campsites but no overnight camping. At the sites you'll find a firepit maybe, a bar-b-que, and your archers lane with hay bales and targets attached. Ready to fire? Bring the kids, the neighbors kids (they can take turns being targets), and mom & dad, and of course, gramma & pops and make a day of it! The camp host is on guard 24/7/365 and he can show you the fresh water bibs, the restrooms, and there's even a snack shack (sometimes). He's a pleasant sort that'll have you filled in on everything about the park: how it came to be and it's little secret spots, too. So I hope this helps somebody, somewhere with a house full of bored kids. Take 'em to the range park and have a picnic. Or seclude yourself at one of the sites to relax, meditate and unwind, decompress or something.... it is really cool.

Great dog park! 🐕 Well maintained, clean and ZERO drama. Truly a special place with other attributes associated with it adjacently.
