Very beautiful but not sure if I would come back. The trail is perfect for a short walk (1 hr ish) and has a very scenic wooden bridge. My dad and I were able to see several bunnies, many birds, a snake and a frog. Went in June after a period of rain however so there were two sections that were very wet and hard to get around! Also, BEWARE OF MOSQUITOES. Even with bug spray and long pants as well as a light UV jacket I managed to get bitten several times on my back and forehead. The whole time we both had swarms of mosquitoes following us and had to continuously wave our arms around. For that reason alone, I don’t think we will be coming back soon…at least until the fall 😅
it's a nice little walk, don't wear your nice sneakers, there's some wet and muddy spots...the wooden walkways will probably need to be replaced within 2 or 3 years tops, a little sketchy in certain spots
Great mostly flat walk in the woods. Please know that this can be a very wet trail, especially the long section which meanders through the marsh. However, there is opportunity to see many birds and woodland creatures including deer. Part of the trail is grass and stone, while another section is elevated over wet areas. A great place to walk in the woods with your dog or family that is nearby.
This is a really short trail but it's nearby town and has good phone service. The views are pretty nice and it allows dogs on a leash. If it's recently rained in the past few days the bridges are really slippery and there are parts that are straight mud so wear shoes you don't care about. It's a great place to get in a little lunch or after work nature time. There are a ton of birds here with places to bird watch. I saw hummingbirds, blue jays, a heron, and several others constantly flying around.
I like this place because it's a nice, easy walk and it's beautiful! A few years ago I saw a bunch of Garter snakes which were fun to interact with. Also, I saw 3 Snapping turtles which was awesome! This year I saw a beautiful Deer that you could get a little close to! Very beautiful place, definitely have to check it out if you like nature.
