The park proper is a small, community type park for locals and thir kids. Short dirt circumference trail with some exercise equipment for adults and a couple jungle gyms for the kids. That part didn't offer much fore and our dogs but then I discovered the trail system just to the south of the park. You can enter it from the circle ar the end of the parking area or you can drive down a few hundred feet and park on the street for other access points. Overlooks the wetlands and oil fields about a half a mile east of the coastline. Not much to look at but the trials are well maintained and the flora is plentiful. It's not a destination for tourists like me but I did enjoy the exercise and accessibility of both the park and trails.

Harriett M. Wieder Regional Park covers about 4 acres, plus it connects to around 30 more acres of natural habitat. It’s located near the Huntington Beach, Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, and some oil fields, a pretty unique area! There’s a Fitness Zone, and a newly renovated playground for different age groups. If you walk a bit farther, you can get to a trail near Overlook Park. No street parking so you’ll need to park in the small on-site lot. Dogs are allowed, and there’s a public restroom.

Great place to go for an overview of the Bolsa Chica natural area! Great place to take the kids to play at the playgrounds and learn about the natural environment from here! There’s also a grownups playground with fitness equipment for working out- doors. Hikers and bike riders can also set out from here for fun in the sun good times! There’s picnic tables, trash containers and restrooms available. Hard to believe this is a regional park in such an awesome place near an ocean beach and there’s no charge for parking! Parking here is on a first come, first serve basis. Overflow street parking is also available during the posted hours. It’s a great place to park and head for the nearby beach on foot or by bike!
