What a wonderful hidden gem in Elgin. It's a great for young children to learn as well as older folks. Devin and David were so nice to invite me to host a winter sowing class. Their facility is state of the art, their grounds are easy to walk on. If you are missing nature, swing on by and learn something knew.

The Brownie Loop Trail and Eagle Scout Trail were both closed due to trail restoration work. I enjoyed the short hike around the two ponds. I also observed someone doing a photoshoot by the pond. It was interesting to talk to David (the naturalist) about the geology of the area and the various plants/trees on the trails. He was super friendly and took me and my friend on a guided tour of the trail.

Fall season…. Surprise!! One of the best times to observe birds and obvious endemic flora and fauna This small forest gave me the opportunity to enjoy precious moments walking the trails full of trills, color ... a great place for the whole family. Very kind persons working like volunteers, congratulations ‼️ and thanks 🙏🙏🙏

Visited with my dog, she loved it! Trails are nice and wide, mostly mulched, some paved. The only issue I had was my sense of direction, and went in circles a few times. An additional sign or two could help those that get a bit turned around. Most all of the walk is in the woods, I was hoping for more open spaces, but overall I enjoyed the experience.
