Really big and clean has 2 separate dog areas with poop bags and water but no seating for us owners but the area is really nice and very big park we will definitely go back next time we are in Medford

The dog park at Hawthorne Park provides a vital off-leash environment within downtown Medford, featuring two distinct fenced areas to safely accommodate both large and small breeds. This urban retreat is equipped with essential amenities including dog-specific drinking water, waste stations, and picnic tables for owners to utilize while their pets exercise. For those seeking more than a standard run, the park also includes agility equipment and a perimeter trail that is ideal for a leashed walk through the 20-acre grounds. We must acknowledge that while the recent renovations have modernized the facility, the park's central location near the I-5 underpass means visitors will encounter a high-traffic, multi-use atmosphere common to busy metropolitan centers. Overall, it remains a convenient and functional space for regular pet socialization and quick exercise sessions within the Rogue Valley.

Love to eat lunch in the park, but there is only 1 picnic table. People were eating on blankets, on the concrete. Hawthorne is a beautiful park. Enjoy it all the time. Needs attention.

The main park is beautiful, and so is the dog park. It's a good sized, fenced in area, close to parking. It has plenty of grass, lots of trees, a walking path and a few benches. Water and "doggie bags" are also provided. There is a smaller area near the larger for small dogs as well.

I always love coming here with my dog. Unfortunately, the last few days, homeless individuals have made camp inside the dog park. Police do their best at keeping them out, but can't be there 24/7.
