Um yeah quick question, what the hell is going on here? What was once a quiet sanctuary has become a deeply disturbing lumber yard hellscape. They have taken down countless trees, many seemingly without any reason. It’s been nonstop chainsaws, men with loud equipment and an apparent zero respect for nature for well over a month. There were signs posted that this would go on until December 31st. Baby we’re a month beyond that. The trail is still a mess; for weeks it was practically unusable, you had to hop over the carnage of large downed branches fallen during this destruction, and in many areas they still aren’t done gathering everything. I love this park so dearly and the contempt I’m feeling for everyone who signed off on the slaughter of all of these trees radiates through me every time attempt to walk the trail and enjoy this space.

Hazel Dell Community Park is a very nice park of the Clark County Public Works Department. Had a nice walking trail around the park with a small bit of elevation. Plenty of picnic tables for anyone to sit and enjoy nature while eating.

Every time I come to this park I get a bad vibe and just want to leave. The entryway and parking lot is full of potholes. People smoke in the park and play awful music. That being said...it has a pretty nice playground. There are plenty of picnic tables, covered and uncovered. One of the picnic shelters has a sink with running water. The trees here are amazing, really tall, and provide plenty of shade. There is also a big open grassy area. I enjoyed walking the trail that went up the hill through the forest. I heard lots of different types of birds singing in the trees. I even saw some trillium flowers.

What a gorgeous park! Tall, mature fir trees are everywhere, which give the feel of being out in the woods. The sound of wind rustling through the trees, and birds chirping all around literally drowned out any city sounds. It was a pleasant surprise, and a peaceful experience! There are 2 different play areas that I saw, as well as a couple open field areas too. There is a large picnic shelter that you can reserve (I took a photo of the sign next to the picnic shelter with reservation information, should you be interested in doing so), as well as plenty of picnic tables, and benches throughout. Everything looked in good condition, and I didn't see one piece of trash. This park has an old school feel about it due to all the beautiful fir trees; something not so common in city parks anymore, so I definitely recommend checking it out! 👍🏼

Many parks in Vancouver feel very close to the road which can make activities less pleasant, but this one is nicely tucked away. This is a lovely, secluded-feeling park with lots of trees, room to run and play, some decent play equipment and trails for walking or riding. The shelters are in good shape, and I noticed a restroom building though I didn't make use of it. There's a renovation project coming up, so hopefully this great park gets even nicer.
