Hicks Canyon Park is a small but lively space in Irvine. My son played AYSO soccer here on Saturday mornings, and it was always great to see families gathering for the games. This was his first season, and he even made it to the playoffs. Unfortunately, he was sick on playoff day. He threw up in the morning, felt weak, and struggled to run. But he still played the full hour. His team didn’t win, but he showed incredible determination and learned a lot throughout the season. Now that the season is over, we look back on all the fun moments at the park, cheering on the kids and enjoying the lively atmosphere. A great spot for family fun.

Great park with a lot of parking spaces. There is a soccer field, the playground seems new and clean. There are some baseball fields but I am guessing they are not open for everyone? The access gates are locked.

A very large park complete with soccer fields and baseball diamonds. There are a couple of shelters that offer shade from the Sun. Moreover, there are plenty of trees that align the park that offer nice reprise from the Sun. A nice playground with an intact and maintained jungle gym. Restroom facilities are in good shape and located next to the playground. I like that the water fountains offer easy fill of water bottles. The only downside here is the rather limited parking. If coming for games, be prepared to park in the nearby shopping center and walk to the fields.

Super cute park w/ 2 baseball fields, a playground, and a giant grassy area for soccer games. Parking situation is not too bad either. There’s parking by each of the three spots of the park so no matter what, you’re not too far from your niche in the park.
