The park is spacious and well maintained. However, if you plan to quietly walk your dog through it - forget it! People walk their dogs without a leash or use the long leash and allow them to run up to your dog without asking or any regard to the plea to avoid that. It’s an issue since there are so many people with their dogs. Although is not a dog park - this is how it’s managed. I will not be coming back!

Spacious with one picnic table pavilions and other randomly placed tables around the property along with swings, slides, and jungle gym. My only gripe would be the parking situation. There is on street parking but it doesn't have signage to point where you should park compared to where the pavilion and jungle gym are. We parked up on top of the hill and it's a pretty steep walk down... no cleared path either so I would be super easy to trip on a tree roots and slip down the hill.

Great spot for a picnic, letting kids run around, or just finding a nice spot to read a book. There's tons of shaded area. With about 5 pavilions and maybe a dozen uncovered picnic tables, the area can accommodate a lot of people.

Highland Park is such a great little park. Old forest with massive oaks everywhere. It is an ideal place to look for mushrooms, disc golf, picnic and many other outdoor activities.

This is a lovely park! The surrounding community is well-maintained older homes, but the playground at the park is brand new. There were also quite a few swings, some with baby and toddler seating. The park itself was clean, had a lot of benches and picnic tables and several covered pavilions. It was the perfect place to stretch our legs and let our kids "get their wiggles out" as we passed through.
