What an amazing experience! Our family went kayaking at Hoffler Creek Wildlife Preserve, and from the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. They were so kind, patient, and knowledgeable—teaching us how to use the kayaks, guiding us with safety tips, and sharing their love for the preserve. This was truly an outing for all ages. My 4-year-old daughter climbed in with a smile, my 66-year-old dad joined in without hesitation, and together we created memories that will last a lifetime. Out on the water, the scenery was breathtaking. The creek winds peacefully through lush trees and marsh grasses, alive with birdsong and the gentle splash of paddles. We glided past quiet inlets and open stretches where the sky felt endless, and at one point we paused to just take in the stillness and beauty around us. It wasn’t a beach, but it had that same calming, wide-open feeling—a place where nature surrounds you on every side. Kayaking here was the perfect mix of fun and relaxation: family bonding, gentle exercise, and immersion in the wonders of creation. If you’re looking for a place to slow down, breathe deep, and enjoy the outdoors, Hoffler Creek is a treasure. We left with full hearts, tired arms, and the kind of peace only time in nature can bring. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone who just wants to reconnect with the beauty around them!

Great place to go for a walk. Running is not allowed because it could disturb the loca wildlife. It is absolutely gorgeous, the lake the surrounding trees is just beautiful. They have a visitor center with an antendee that is very informwtive no matter what the age.

My family and I love this place. We live close by, so we come here frequently for walks when we don’t want to walk around the neighborhood. Very pretty place! No bikes or running allowed to maintain the wildlife. They often have free fire wood too! Oh, and they close the gates at 4pm. Come early!
