A very unusual topography for the midwest. A fairly steep hill! A 40 percent grade at least. With a fresh winding asphalt path. A real challenge for skateboarders or sledders if it ever really snows. A little drainage ditch bisects the park. About 1/4 for the kiddie play section on one side which has all the good shady benches. And 3/4 for the hill which only has 1 bench out in the sun. Still it is refreshing to see the hill. I just wish they did more with it.
An adorable mowed little open field with children's playground, has a small path around the whole area. It is cute, clean and in the middle of residential homes. Great for a quick walk with the dog!
A little hidden gem of a park in Downers Grove. This park has a great, updated playground, 6 swings, and a nice walking path. The creek nearby is quaint. Overall the kids definitely like this park and my sister frequently take them there.
My favorite small park in the world...also one of the places I escaped to as a kid to get some peace and quiet. It sure has cleaned up in the past few decades...kinda wish the merry-go-round was still there! Bring your kids, bring your grandparents, dogs and dragons...the big tree at the top of the hill is what's up!
Great family oriented park loaded with neighborhood kids and their parents. There is a small grill available, but looks like it hasn't been used in a long time. BYO Charcoal - Nice activities for little ones (
