Horizon Park is a beautiful large city park on the east side Moorhead just south the the middle school. Currently the park has two sections bisected by 24th Ave S. Most of the park is grass areas and large retention ponds with trees planted within the past decade. There is a nice paved looped trail that takes you through the park. The main amenities are located in the southern portion of the park just off 24th where you will find the main parking lot. This park contains 3 Pickleball courts, a half basketball court, sand volleyball pit, picnic tables and grills, and a playground.

Fairly new pickleball courts. One of the net posts pulled out of the concrete. Sand volleyball court with concrete curb is pretty nice, but the net was saggy. Lots of open grass. Clean pond. Little upscale neighborhood.

It was a cute little park! Seemed pretty busy as we arrived right when two different groups left and then we saw three groups show up while we were still there (all within half an hour or so). It was clean and seemed like people treated the property well. We would definitely return. Lots of play space to keep kids happy, but also socially distance from other groups easily.

The kiddos had a blast!! They have everything to playing at the park for little ones, basketball court, volleyball & tennis. Love love this park!! Oh dont forget the bike ride or walk path too!! =)

Open setting within residential area. Nothing fancy while providing a peaceful setting. Playground equipment, shelter and movable tables. Portable toilet was in parking area.
