This park is absolutely disgusting filled with literally garbage everywhere paired with homeless people camped out by the pier, a port-a-potty that someone had set on fire, some random dude sitting on a park bench the whole time that people would walk up to for a few mins and leave while others drive to the park to ‘chat’ with him for a min before leaving. I’m assuming he was dealing drugs…and a huge van with wooden boards over the windows all spray painted black AND RUNNING THE WHOLE TIME!! Talk about creepy! The park is in a great location right on the Mississippi, next to a big boat landing/dock and has the potential to be absolutely gorgeous, but not with all the crime going on there and overall neglect. We stopped as we drove through town on our way back home and just needed to find a place to eat our lunch and throw a line in for a few mins, but you couldn’t even get to the water in most of the park and the places you could you had to climb down huge rocks and not kill yourself doing so just to get snagged in the seaweed along most of the shoreline….would not recommend unless the cities gets involved in cleaning it up!!

So glad I found this place! My 2 big dogs and my lil 10 pounder love it. Haven't had any real issues. It's free so I can't really complain but I would definitely pay a monthly maintenance fee to continue using the park.

Went down there to enjoy the sunshine and do a little casual fishing. It is a very nice spot to see the river go by. Added bonus, the Blue Angels we're practicing this day so I got a little airshow too. Pretty cool.

I will always go to this dog park out of any I've ever seen. I love the option for the small park or the big park, and the included water is an amazing feature

Fun times down at Houska. We had a lot of good times spending time with family loved ones and great friends. We would like to do it again even with all the homeless people there. Speaking of they we some of the nicest people I've met in a long time. The unity amongst them is amazing being they have so little. They would give you the shirt right off your back if you needed it. The only really bad thing about the park is the smell between the waste plant and the brewery. Other than that the park is amazing and beautiful. Not to mention the dog park that is right at the end of the park. Great people there too.
