✨As a local, I can really appreciate this green space in the middle of downtown Ft. Lauderdale where individuals can escape and be in nature and also feel safe. The park was reopened with the generous contribution of donors following a major renovation. The space feels very welcoming to solo adventurers, families, couples and dog enthusiasts. Take a stroll and enjoy the paved walking path or sit and enjoy a picnic lunch. There is a permanent food truck accessible for purchasing meals onsite. Whatever suits your fancy. There is an indoor pavilion with four restroom stalls, also securely monitored by an attendant. There is also a designated dog run area for your fur babies to roam and mingle. Parking is limited in the area, however there is so much to explore in the vicinity, it’s worthwhile to pay for parking. Park open 7am to 10pm daily. Sign up to receive notifications of activities and events being held here. Enjoy it as much as I do. ✨💗 EAT PRAY LOVE

Came in for the first time to this park to enjoy a local market. The park had a lot of nice open spot to sit and relax , with a small Doggie park area and kids area. The bathrooms were big and very clean with ongoing cleaning staff. Definitely will check this park again.

A small well maintained park located right next to the New River accessible from the Riverwalk North path. There is a small stage for events. Water fountain for people and their pets.

Huizenga Park is such a beautiful addition to downtown Fort Lauderdale! The reimagined space feels open, clean, and welcoming, with gorgeous river views and plenty of room to relax, walk, or gather with friends. It’s the perfect mix of nature and city energy. The park is thoughtfully designed with green space, shaded areas, and room for community events. It’s become such a special spot for outdoor activities and connecting with others. Whether you’re enjoying a peaceful morning by the water or catching a sunset event, Huizenga Park truly elevates the heart of our city. Highly recommend spending time here!
