The business department hours are 7am-12pm Monday-Friday which makes availability very limited. As of this year HP charges $700 for a business license and last year it was $150. Terrible. I know that is not the employees fault but a lot of them work very slow and didn't want to print out a copy of a paper they had mailed to me. It's been a month and I'm still waiting for my business license.

Old School Civic Center experience with building built in the 1950s and an attached park. When I was a kid the City of Downey had a very similar Civic Center, built out of an old elementary school. There was also an attached small park, perfect for spending your lunch break if you worked in one of the buildings. That has been long since demolished and replaced with the familiar fortress like structures of today with no park within walking distance. Really cool place to visit because of the park and many old classic buildings including a disused court building. Check it out. 😃

It’s amazing to hear and see the work of dedicated community leaders. Often locals who have gain education and enough life experience to dedicate themselves to building a progressive quality of life for the residents of “the beautiful City of Huntington Park”!

No one answers the phones at City hall. tried operator and all the extensions , nada. You have taken over a year to finish the repairs on Slauson Ave, now you have left , the streets lanes and crosswalks unmarked for months. What is going on ???
