MON 2025.08.04 ~07:00 while doing my walk of from Irving Creek Greenway parking, i came to/thru Idlewild Road Park. It was nice and clean 👍🙃 Saw a person on the Disc Golf course area.

Grew up in the area and always came to this park to walk/play/baseball practice. I haven’t been in YEARS… things have definitely changed… in a good way. I wanted to take my dog for a walk in the wooded trails. I was surprised when I got there that the wooded trails no longer exist. It’s a greenway now because of all the home developments they’ve built around. The wooded trails are now concrete pathways. It’s going to be nice and pretty in a few years. I still enjoyed the walk just disappointing atm. They still have the playground and baseball fields so that’s a plus. It’s dog and child friendly.

Absolutely awesome park on a very hot humid day! Heavily shaded on the play ground and the walking trail. We didn't use them but the softball field was nice and neat and ready for play.....also the sitting area around the ball field was shaded also. Nice restroom facilities and lots o f playground equipment for kids to play on. Most of this stuff looks like it was recently installed here! There is disc golf here and the trails are clearly marked and visible. My 3 kids enjoyed the visit and the heat was barely noticeable at 1130 in the morning and almost 90 degrees! No dog park but pick up bags for people with pets.

I found a trail at this park on AllTrails and it looked nice so we decided to check it out. The beginning of the trail was really nice. It goes through a wooded area and down to the river. Then the trail suddenly becomes a disc golf course. Now the disc golf course seemed really nice, but I wouldn't recommend hiking a disc golf course. You're just in the way if people are playing. There's a nice lake later in the course. Overall, I'd recommend it for disc golf or maybe just to hang out at, but I wouldn't recommend walking through the disc golf course like AllTrails recommends.

What happened to the amazing playgrounds that used to be here? It was such a let down coming up here for the first time in years to see it so run down. I am outraged seeing the extent at which the entire park has been neglected. I would love to come back if something would be done about this.
