Excellent shade at this playground. The rubber flooring and smaller playset are great for babies and toddlers, though sadly no baby swings. The ages 5-12 playset has fun obstacles and ropes course. This playground has several unique spinning structures that make for a fun visit. Came on a weekday morning and it was pretty empty until about 10:30/11 when it got very busy. Parking was a bit far away and crowded, the restrooms were a bit of a walk.

Google tends to give directions to James Kriegh Park to the upper parking lot. I prefer parking in the parking lot down below. This one is for the Oro Valley Aquatics center and overlooks Canyon Del Oro High School. This park went through a face lift in the last few years. It is great for all ages, including a little bit more of a challenging play structure for the older kids complete with ropes to climb across and monkey bars. If you bring hot wheels cars, there is a track on the smaller Plat structure. There are musical pipes and drums. Three spinning things, and both regular swings and those that have a full seat/back/ and front that lowers over the child. This park truly offers something for all ages. The main Ramada has three or four tables. There is another Ramada with about three tables. The play strictures do have blue tent/tarp coverings as well. This park does not disappoint.

We took our elderly friend here for a safe place to decompress and enjoy some fresh air! The area was calm and walking was safe with little to no tripping hazards. He really enjoyed hearing the kids playing and enjoyed the handicap accessible swings that allowed him to feel like a child again.

Incredible clean well maintenance shaded playground equipment area with baseball park and oro valley aquatic center. Located next to canyon del Oro high school with awesome view of the Catalina mountain backdrop.

James D Kreigh Park is a great place family and friends. There’s a wonderful playground for kids of all ages with slides and swings instruments. There are picnic areas with grills for birthday parties and get together. There’s also a dog park for his fenced in for the leash play. We will definitely be back for more fun!
