Went here this morning and it was great. The green belt is awesome for walking, the park is well kept, and the picnic area is perfect for hanging out. Really nice spot to relax or get some fresh air. Definitely a hidden gem in the area.

While every free park deserves 5 stars, the playground here has a number of issues you will want to know about if searching for a spot to bring your kids. The playground was poorly designed and is poorly maintained. It is small and in the sun all day. What few, short slides they have are damaged. There are no garbage cans close by so there is frequently trash on the ground, mixing in with the combination of mulch, rocks, mud and weeds. The closest water fountains have been broken for over a year. The bouncy seats for kids broke and were not replaced. When the neighboring school is in session, it is time consuming to access during drop-off/pick-up times. There are sharp, splintery wood beams in several places. I saw a child fall on them, crying with injury. The toddler swings are squeaky and are not properly anchored into the ground. The only great thing about this playground is its location adjacent to the greenway. I wish the parks department would take care of it.

City of WS has CLOSED this dog park, because their ‘EXPERTS have decided its area best to site their equipment while working to repair damages to the nearby ‘walkway. Plenty of other nearby space they could have used; but we know that ‘experts are often not so smart.

My favorite dog park and a great walking trail. Its a safe environment and I there's finally a street light added so exiting is faster! Whoo-hoo!

I really enjoyed this park! My dog Griffey and I usually like to go walking at different parks and trails around Winston-Salem and I came across this park and it was really nice. The dog park was muddy because of the rain, but I can tell they really keep up with the area. They have tennis balls for the dogs to play and Griffey really enjoyed himself.
