Used the dog park. They have 2 separate parks which is nice, big dogs and one for small dogs. They have a dog wash station and water bowls with water to fill them. Not a ton of shade and not huge but enough area to run

This park is such a waste. For the playground, after 2 years of being closed for repairs and fully boarded up they “re-opened” the playground but removed all the playground equipment. It’s now a playground with nothing in it. They don’t care. Now the dog park got the same treatment. All the grass is brown and dead, the field is dust and dirt, and there are dangerous holes for your dog to trip into. It seems the main purpose of this park now is as a parking area for the construction workers across the street. Such a shame that it’s been neglected so bad and for so long.

This is a wonderful park that combines two things I love, nature and history. At 5.6 acres this park is quite large and has many wonderful amenities. In 2008 and 2009 the park received 1.5 million dollars of improvements, paid for in part by a grant from the Florida Department of Environmental Education. The land for the park was purchased from the Florida Inland Navigation District. This park has been named the Jaycee Park for about a half century even thought the last local Jaycees chapter closed in 1999. The front section of the park has the improvements made in 2008 which include two children's play areas, one for younger children and one for older, with slides, swings, and climbing structures, shaded by a large ficus tree. There are also two bocce ball courts, sheltered picnic tables, restroom and a walking path. Along the paved path is the Boynton Beach Maritime Heritage Trail which tells you about the history of Boynton Beach, the early settlers, sport fishing, the Boynton Beach inlet, and more. There also signs throughout the park about nurturing nature. The eastern edge of the park has a mangrove nature preserve. Mangroves are important to the environment because hey clean the water and they provide a protective nursery for sea life to spawn. In 2009 a 300 foot boardwalk was added to the park overlooking the Intracoastal for fishing and nature observation. Manatees have been spotted here. It also provides a front row seat for the annual holiday boat parade. To the north of the boardwalk is a small ramp where you can launch a canoe, kayak, or paddle board. I loved reading all of the signs in the park relating to history and nature. There were also several beautiful public art pieces to view as well. This park is a wonderful spot to take the kids to play, picnic, fish, and enjoy the beauty of nature. It is easy to see why this park is such a beloved destination in Boynton Beach.

Playground is not there. Nice park the girls played on the swings which are very high. It was a nice walk and could tell people enjoyed fishing there.

Very nice park. Parking was the only issue. Me and my family decided to stop here for an unplanned picnic. We had to wait a while to park. There are a number of tables and open areas for a picnic. Restrooms were a little funky, but it is a public park on the weekend. The playground is enclosed and friendly to older and younger children. There is a nice path that leads to a dock with nice views of the mangroves and the Intercoastal. Nice park, but parking really was limited.
