I couldn’t sleep last night over what happened. My dog was attacked, and it was completely avoidable. Yesterday at the dog park, my sweet, non-aggressive rescue dog Marley was attacked by a small dog named Earl—who was not on a leash. The owner is a woman who drives a darker Prius, has a 4 dogs under 10 lbs with her. No matter how many times I urgently told the owner to get her dog, she just stood there doing nothing. I had to physically restrain her aggressive 10lb dog myself—risking getting bitten—just to protect my dog. Marley was left with scratches all over her face which needed to be disinfected and treated. Not once did the owner apologize. In fact, when I handed her dog back, she let her maniac dog go again, with no regard for safety. If Marley had defended herself, I know that same woman would’ve been furious at me. To make matters worse, this woman had her small dogs on the wrong side, the side for 35lbs and larger dogs, and still refused to take responsibility. She was rude, careless, and clearly unfit to be around animals—people too. Frankly, these people need training themselves. There’s also a clique of regulars who show up with four large, untrained, aggressive dogs (including a black and white border collie). They never step in when things escalate. It’s chaos, and they dominate the park like they own it. The owners are cold, dismissive, and make the space unwelcoming for anyone outside their circle. There’s a German shepherd named max who is too aggressive for play as well, very rough, very untrained and his owner is a male owner. My dog has been targeted and bullied at this park a few times but I kept bringing her every now and again because she’s social and gentle, and she deserved to play with others like herself, But this final incident was traumatic—for both of us. We will never return. I feel horrible for exposing Marley to that kind of danger. If you want your dog to be safe, respected, and have positive social interaction—this is NOT the place. This park is overrun by untrained dogs and uncivilized dog owners, who are irresponsible, apathetic owners. Something needs to be done before a pet gets seriously hurt—or worse.

Nice park for the dogs to run and play! Lots of room to roam! Nice people too!

The best, and only dog park in my local area.

I think the dog park is very nicely done. Its always the very few people who don't pick up after their dog that will spoil a good thing. We had a wonderful day on the 17th of March with everyone there. The children were having fun throwing balls to any dog that wanted it. The people were all very nice and everyone talked with each other. Great day.
