Awesome park in Hawthorne area, it's got a large playground, baseball field, restrooms, a wading pool. I was there to host a laser tag party, so we set up a small playfield near the picnic area.
cute park with fun equipment, and exercise section and a splash pad. however limited parking.
It's a very big spacious park with a kids area that has slides and swings, it also has 2 baseball fields which we use because my son's baseball games are here. Also it's a place for birthday celebrations, it is always super crowded. On the other hand bathrooms are terrible, parking is crazy and the time we went there was a car chase and like 5 cars were damaged total losses. That is reason for my stars.
They recently open with a new jungle gym.. unfortunately it's been all tagged up in less than 3 weeks.. It's a decent park size however it gets packed with teenagers that block the sildes ,stairs, swing so it's better in the mornings while their in school.. The city should have cameras so police can patrol it. Today they were moving out a homeless man that became aggressive towards the city park workers!!
The park was renovated, looks much better and is clean.
