Great trails and good vibes, good place to get away from home or the city. Good mountain biking and the trails are good. Could be improved, but everyone riding/walking is always nice and understanding of bikers. Awesome bikes and the black diamonds are super versatile.

This park is close to my home, and I often go there for a trail walk on the weekends. I was pleasantly surprised by a few viewpoints where you can see the skylines of both Auckland and San Francisco; it was very enjoyable. You can easily spend a couple of hours there, have lunch in the park, and if you’re feeling adventurous, you can hike up the hill to the space center, which is called the Job Space Center. It’s a fun park where you can spend an entire day. There are numerous trails to explore, making it a great place for families, friends, or even dogs.

Joaquin Miller is one of my favorite hikes in Oakland. The view of the bay bridge and SF from the lookout point is breathtaking.

A park that at one point must have had a lot of activity, but now most of its infrastructure has been neglected. As you walk around you will notice relics of the past, but not all is lost. First there are a few things that are maintained and are accessable, and second what's available to the public is very enjoyable. Great views of San Francisco, downtown Oakland and the Bay are at the top of the list. There are hiking and biking trails all around.

Dog owners beware!! The park itself is gorgeous with lots of trails to explore. The only drawback is there are so many large, untrained dogs let off leash by ignorant owners. Twice now my dog has been approached by aggressive dogs here. One when she was only a puppy and the dog pinned her down. After that we avoided the park entirely but we thought we’d try it again today. As we were walking from the lot to the small dog park, a lady let her German shepherd run up on my dog and growl at her. We had to repeatedly chase it away and yell as the owner stood back at her car and did nothing. If you come here with a dog please be aware of your surroundings at all times and carry mace.
