We came for the ice sculptures and festivities as part of the Winter Carnival. I understand it is usually at Rice Park, but due to construction, it was here this year. Nice view of the river and plenty of parking nearby.
The potential here is huge, the area is gorgeous. However with multiple tent cities residing here the past year, the area needs a little love and deep power wash to rid the smell of urine & get the garbage out of the fountains
Nice place to sit, and look at the view, problem is that the homeless population is kinda crazy, drug use, people sleeping on benched, some slumped over off of drugs, harassment over money, cigarettes, if you go, suggest being careful, it's cleaning up a but not enough I'm afraid.
My girls and I first time going and we have lived in St Paul for 2 years now beautiful scenery
Great view of the Mississippi River
