I've started avoiding this park due to high volume of use by unhoused, who are generally using the pavilion and smoking pot. While I want our unhoused population to have shelter and clean facilities to use, and feel people can smoke whatever they want, it certainly changes the mood of a public park with a playground for kids...

Solid dog park. Requires you to apply for membership through the Maplewood city government which helps keep the park safe and free of troubled owners/dogs. Usually pretty busy around 5 or 6 but in the mornings you can find it empty. My dog absolutely loves this park but we have had a few issues with unfriendly or poorly trained dogs. That's probably nothing unusual for a dog park but I feel it is worth mentioning. Also the recent rains have washed out many of the woodchips so the dogs are becoming extra dirty as they play. Overall I would recommend this park to anyone in Maplewood who needs room for their dog to run or even just an opportunity to socialize their dog in a positive setting.

This is a nice quiet park to visit and so much better now with a pavilion and bathrooms! There is a little library, a community garden, dog park, and the metro link all nearby that can interest your child. The playground itself is just ok- the wheel doesn't really turn and we wish there were swings but there is a huge field to do activities and a large hill that is fun for running and rolling on!

Usually pretty clean and fun, just kinda awkward to go sometimes in the afternoon because of the people cutting thru from the metro & homeless people camping nearby, but that's just life

We really enjoy this little park for flying kites. There's a small playground and a big field. The playground could probably use a little updating, but it's fine. The sheltered picnic area is really nice and perfect for a small gathering. There is a dog park and a community garden adjacent to the park.
