This review is just in regard to bird watching. The actual park is beautiful and a great place to take your kids. But for the birds, I have been there only twice keep in mind, but I have seen the same 6 birds (other than a black phoebe in a tree on my walk there): Mallards, Canadian Geese, Western Gulls, American Coots, Pied Billed Grebe, and Pekin Ducks. That being said, there are at least 100 of each of those so if you like those birds it’s a great place. They are also super friendly if you see my pictures below I took a photo of a man feeding the geese which I call “Goose Whisperer”. Other than that it is a very nice place to spend a day. Parking is very easy and getting there is easy (110 whole way).

Park is large and beautiful; with a walking path, man made lake and several small streams. Lots of wildlife as well as shade trees, benches and vista points. There are several parking lots around the park. At present the workout/climbing area is open, but the large playground has been closed with a large fence and caution tape around it for the last few weeks.

A great mix of topologies. Tons of animals to observe. Nicely paved for walking but also optional unsaved paths. Nice playgrounds. There's really something here for everyone. My only gripe is the visible trash. Its not obtrusive, its simply an opportunity for improvement.

The park is absolutely huge!! Definitely a nice place to come have a cookout or picnic with kids & family. There's a very big lake at the center of the park. There is plenty of parking/tables. And the open space is great for bikes or scooters. One of the downsides is the trail does not loop around the lake. Also there a few homeless encampment around the park. There is staff on sight that looks like they try their best to keep the park clean. Unfortunately due to the large amount of ducks there is alot of duck poop. Along with all the poop from irresponsible dog owners (park provides bags).

The ambience in this park is very peaceful the nature sounds the birds and very clean cut grass. A lot of spaces for picnic areas and a lot of shaded trees to rest on.
